Spectaclefest is a large-scale event currently in planning for 2009. Originally scheduled for 2008, the event was created in response to the down-sizing of the E3 gaming event. The event was also tracked by a BOL contributor known as "thepodcasticator", on the "Spectaclefest Observer Blog". A website was set up by Tom Merritt in order to properly advertise the increasingly pushed-back event.
