Laughing On the Inside
An alternative to the common internet acronym LOL (Laughing Out Loud). The cast of Buzz Out Loud declared themselves official proponents of the LOI Movement in Episode 658.
The main reason for the use of LOI, is the fact that most people do not actually laugh out loud when they type "LOL".
Rather than LOI, that tends to look like someone missed the upper case on LOl (lowercase L, about in middle of 2007, some started using LIMH for Laughing In My Head).
Aesthetically the LOL is compact, and well balanced in a bookend kind of way; moreover the vowel at the end (if not misinterpreted as an errant keystroke) creates the misperception that it is a word, perhaps of Hawaiian derivation...
