Hey guys,

Quick note about your questions about AT&T’s new data plans, and the reasons why they “”had to”" put in place data caps. My theory: it’s all tethering’s fault. With people using their iPads and laptops and 3 phones on one connection, they fear unlimited plans would become a problem. And much to my chagrin, I have to say it does kind of make sense.

Just to be clear, I still hate mobile phone carriers and believe they are the evil spawns of Satan though. Ok, I feel better.

Hey Buzz Crew,

First of all I would like to state that I work for AT&T (full disclosure). But you should mention that AT&T will be doing something that you have been complaining about for a long time. They will send warning texts when you get close to your limit. You will receive a free text when you are at 65%, 95% and 100% of your threshhold. Also the customers that will be effected most by these changes will be those that have violated EULAs and jailbreak their iPhones and use them to tether.

Thanks, love the show, even though you continually bash AT&T which has an amazing network in my area.

Hi Buzz Brigade,

After listening to episode 1240 and the discussion about fears arising from seeing Facebook “”Like”" buttons now appearing all over the Internet, I thought I’d share how I’ve begun to manage Facebook: I treat it like porn. Specifically, whenever I sign onto Facebook, I do it using private browsing mode in my web browser. By doing this I can keep Facebook and its cookies contained to that browsing session so other websites that I visit in a normal browser window don’t know I’m a Facebook user, even if they’re using “”Instant Personalization”", Like buttons, or whatever other methods Facebook uses to try to monitor my activity. Now if only Firefox had a way to configure my Facebook bookmark to automatically start a private browsing session when I click on it, then this process would be virtually seamless.

Hi Buzz crew,

found this extremely handy extension for Firefox/Chrome – it removes Facebook Like button from any webpage you visit! In Chrome, you just click on the install button, confirm and voila – no more Facebook! In Firefox, it requires Greasemonkey extension installed.

I found this, after listening to you podcast while planting potatoes in my garden. I thought – Hell, somebody must have done Greasemonkey script for this! And somebody did!
